A current project of the company Geometria (Auckland, Neuseeland) is concerned with the digital acquisition and documentation of historical huts in the Antarctica. These buildings were built and used as storage and encampment facilities by British Antarctica expeditions at the beginning of the 20th century.

Every Thursday, the Ars Electronica Centre (Linz, Austria) opens its doors for their „Deep Space LIVE“ events. In these fascinating presentations, the visitor has the opportunity to admire ultra-high-definition imagery in a 16 x 9 metre picture world, accompanied by expert commentary. The feature demonstration of the „Deep Space LIVE“ event hosted on March 17th, 2011 at 20.00 will be the virtual reconstruction of the Hadrian’s Temple.

 

The year 2011 has started with an interesting and exciting event for Breuckman:

 

From January 23rd to 27th, the conference ‘Electronic Imaging, Science and Technology’ organised by the IS&T/SPIE (International Society for Optics and Photonics and Society for Imaging Science and Technology) was held in San Francisco.
